We anticipate that Katie may require blood transfusions
for the next 12 months. In order to assist with keeping an
adequate supply available, we are asking that any volunteers
check the site listed below to choose a donation date.

The next step would be to call Nadia at the hospital for an
appointment. This will help us to manage the blood bank's
inventory for Katie.

Blood donations last for 42 days and platelets last for 5 days.

*Although Katie is Type A+, it does not matter what blood
type you have.

Donors who are A+, A-, O+& O- will match and
all other donations are memorialized in Katie's name.

Platelet Donations: In addition to blood donations,
you can donate blood platelets. On average, donating
blood takes about 30 minutes
and platelet donation takes 2 hours.                      

Directions: GSP North to exit 159.
Follow signs for Route 80 East.
Take Route 80 East for 2 miles and keep to the right.
Take Exit #64 for 17 South/Hasbrouk Hts/Newark.
Carefully and quickly move from the left to the
right and take the next exit marked
TERRACE AVE/POLIFY RD.
At the top of the exit ramp, make a left turn onto Polify Rd
and follow to ESSEX St. (aoorox 3 lights)
The Arena Diner is on the left corner.

Make lefy onto ESSEX St. and go to the top of the hill.
Make Rt turn into the hospital complex and follow signs
for Main Bldg. Use the underground parking.

Take your parking stub to the DONOR ROOM
and validate your parking
