Regatta Prep is an all volunteer excursion organized by our Crew parents. The mission is to provide food and refreshments for all of the visiting families for the day and foster a highly energetic and supportive atmosphere for the athletes.

Basic menues include healthy items from fruit and veggies to finger foods, hot items, soups, sandwiches and burgers etc.

When each Regatta schedule becomes available in early Spring, opportunities to volunteer for different jobs and coordinate a specific race date will be listed and filled on a first come basis. With each regatta there is much work to be done from Trailering the Support equipment to managing the tent to foods and clean up.

Regattas are athletic events for high school students. Like other high school sports teams not all athletes race every week. But they are encourageged to attend and support the team. Some races can get cancelled at the last minute. Some students may get injured, sick or disciplined and cause their crew to be unexpectedly scratched. All part of high school team sports. With our club, to insure a positive environment, entertaining and guest lists never supersede the purpose of the day. All pre-race snacking is to be kept healthy and light and parents are encouraged to support our athletes in this way. Regattas are a camping trip for the day. We encourage everyone to keep preparations simple and stress free to insure a more enjoyable team experience. Also foul weather in the spring is to be expected and can play a major role on regatta day. Always stay warm and dry. Proper waterproof attire is strongly suggested. Do not create more work than necessary, support the rowers, support the team and you will enjoy the most from each race day.
