Head Coach since 2006, Coach Greenwood began his rowing career with the Carnegie Lake Rowing Association of Princeton, NJ and is a U.S. Rowing Class 1 certified coach.
After a long athletic career competing and coaching many sports both in private and public schools, Coach Greenwood came to rowing after a personal quest for a more fulfilling personal and athletic experience. Initially trained by Princeton University coaches with the Lakers, Coach Greenwood has experienced many rowing sessions and clinics with some of the top level instructors in the rowing community. These instructors include Steve Wagner, head coach of Rutgers University and Director of Black Bear Sculling; Topher Bordeau, head coach for Dartmouth College; Paul Bogenhagen, head hoach for Bucknell University; Tom Hewitt, head coach for Stockton College and U.S. Rowing Coaching Instructor; Marlane Royal, staff writer for Rowing News and Co-Director of Craftsbury Sculling Center; Jim Joy, Director of the Canadian National Team for 35 years.
Coach Greenwood is a multiple grant winner with Concept2 and the Westfield Foundation and has been a teacher for 20 years, 15 years in the Westfield School District.
Coach Woody graduated from Westfield High School in 2006 where he rowed for 3 years. His varsity quad made Stotesbury Cup semi finals two years in a row. Coach Woody went on to play basketball at Washington College in Maryland.
Most recently, he has completed a masters in human resource management at Rutgers University. Coach Woody has rowed at Nereid boat club and Carnegie Lake Rowing Association in Princeton.
A US Rowing Level 1 certified coach, he has been with the team for five years and runs the fall racing season.
